Choosing a garment label manufacturer: woven, printed or heat seal
Three of the nine products here do essentially the same job — carry a mark on a garment — and choosing between them is the decision buyers get wrong most often. A woven label builds the design from dyed yarn, so it is structural and outlasts the garment, but it cannot hold fine gradients or many colours cheaply. A printed label puts the design on the surface, which makes complex artwork straightforward and the unit cost lower, at the cost of a mark that wears rather than endures.
A heat seal label solves a different problem altogether: it bonds to the fabric with no stitching, so there is no seam and no scratch point. That is why it dominates the inside of activewear, swim and underwear, where a sewn label is felt against bare skin. The trade-off is that its bond has to be proved on your actual fabric rather than assumed.
Most ranges end up using all three: woven at the neck where the brand mark lives, printed for dense care and content information, heat seal wherever the garment touches skin. Because we make all three here, the recommendation you get is not shaped by which machine we happen to own, and the whole set ships on one purchase order.

What every label order needs to specify
Whichever construction you choose, four things decide whether a first sample comes back right. Each product page below carries the full list for that item.
Artwork as vector, with fonts outlined
Weaving is limited by thread count and printing is not, so we will tell you before sampling whether a detail needs simplifying to survive the loom.
Finished size and fold
Dimensions in millimetres plus the fold type — flat, centre-fold, end-fold or Manhattan. Fold changes the woven width we set up, so it is cheaper to fix before sampling.
Colourway as Pantone TCX or a physical swatch
On woven labels each colour is a separately dyed yarn, so colour count affects set-up and price in a way it does not on print.
Destination market
This is what decides required languages, fibre naming and symbol sets on care labels, and the compliance documents that ship with the order.
Common questions
Can we order several label types on one purchase order?
Yes. All nine are made on the same site, so a woven neck label, a printed care label and a hangtag are one order with one set of lab reports rather than three suppliers.
Why is no daily capacity published for labels?
Because output depends heavily on size, colour count and construction. We publish figures for elastics and tapes where a standing capacity is meaningful, and quote labels against your actual spec instead of inventing a number.
Which of these carry OEKO-TEX coverage?
Woven, printed and heat seal labels fall inside our STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certificate 2022OK1327 (AITEX, Product Class I, valid to 31 May 2027), within the certified materials and colourways. Coverage is material-limited, so send your spec and we will confirm it against your exact construction rather than assume it.
How long until we see a physical sample?
4 working days from a confirmed spec, then 10 days for bulk after you approve the sample. There is no fixed MOQ published — we quote against your spec and quantity.
