Trims Bangladesh is a belt, button and thread manufacturer in Dhaka producing three made-to-spec categories — fabric and elastic belts and suspenders, plastic and metal buttons, and polyester and cotton sewing thread — on the same floor as our elastics, tapes and labels.

What a belt, button and thread manufacturer adds to a trims order
These three sit together for a practical reason rather than a taxonomic one: they are the components that fasten and hold a garment, and they all have to match each other and the fabric. A button is chosen against the cloth, the thread is chosen against the button and the seam, and a belt has to match both while carrying its own hardware. Sourced separately, each decision is made by a different supplier who cannot see the other two.
All three are made to spec rather than picked from a catalogue, which is why none of them carries a published daily capacity the way our elastics and tapes do — jacquard elastic at 25,000 yards a day, woven at 20,000, knit at 50,000, herringbone and grosgrain at a combined 80,000, drawcord and drawstring at a combined 60,000. For belts, buttons and thread the run depends on size, material and finish, so we quote against your drawing instead of publishing a figure measured on somebody else’s specification.
What does not vary is where they are made. Everything ships from our own floor in Uttarkhan, Uttara — an 18,000 sq ft factory running 24 hours shift-wise with 30 office staff and 135 production workers, in operation since 2014 and exporting to more than ten European markets.

Specifying the three together
Each product page below carries its full checklist. These are the three things that most often come back wrong when they are specified in isolation.
Buttons: send the ligne, not an approximate diameter
Ligne is the unit the button trade runs on — 40 ligne is roughly 25 mm. Also say whether the button is shank or two- or four-hole, because identical diameters behave differently on an automatic sewing machine.
Thread: send the fabric swatch and the machine type
A thread code alone is not enough. Colour that matched under office light can read wrong in daylight, and a count chosen for one machine can skip stitches on another.
Belts: fix the hardware before the webbing
Buckle, slider or clip type and finish determine the webbing width and the way the belt adjusts. Send a sample of the hardware if you already use a specific part.
Common questions
Are these covered by your OEKO-TEX certificate?
Sewing thread is, within the certified materials and colourways — STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certificate 2022OK1327 (AITEX, Product Class I, valid to 31 May 2027). Belts, suspenders and buttons are not inside that certified scope, and we would rather say so plainly than imply blanket coverage.
Can a belt use our own woven logo?
Yes. The webbing inside a belt is the same construction we weave for waistbands, so a branded jacquard belt is a variation on something already in production rather than a new process.
What are the lead times?
The same as everything else we make: a physical sample 4 working days from a confirmed spec, and bulk 10 days after you approve that sample. There is no fixed MOQ published — we quote against your actual spec and quantity.
