Working at Trims Bangladesh
We manufacture narrow fabrics and garment trims — elastics, tapes, cords, labels, badges, belts, buttons and thread — for export to more than ten European markets. That shapes the work more than anything else on this page. Export buyers specify tightly and inspect carefully, so the skill that matters most here, in every department, is doing the same thing to the same tolerance on the fiftieth order as on the first.
The factory has been running since 2014 and covers 18,000 sq ft in Uttarkhan, Uttara — roughly twenty minutes from Dhaka airport and close to the ready-made garment cluster. Production runs around the clock in shifts, which means the floor roles are shift-based and the office roles are not.
Because everything is made in house rather than sub-contracted, people here tend to see a specification through from yarn to dispatch instead of handling one isolated step. If you have worked in a trading setup and want to be closer to the actual manufacturing, that is the main difference you would notice.

Where people work here
Production
Weaving, knitting, finishing and quality lines, on Taiwanese narrow-fabric machinery — jacquard elastic looms, twill tape machines, winding and wrapping machines, plastic tipping. Machine operation and set-up experience on narrow fabrics transfers directly.
Quality assurance
In-house lab testing, inspection and compliance support. Every lot is tested against three ISO methods before dispatch — pH (ISO 3071), colour fastness to rubbing (ISO 105 X12) and colour fastness to water (ISO 105 E01) — so lab familiarity matters here more than general QC experience.
Merchandising
Buyer communication, order follow-up and sourcing. This is the role that turns a buyer’s specification into something the floor can run, and then holds the 4-day sample and 10-day bulk commitments against it.
Admin and logistics
Shipping, export documentation and factory operations. Since everything we make is exported, documentation accuracy is part of the product rather than paperwork that follows it.
