Belt & suspender

Trims Bangladesh is a belt and suspender manufacturer producing fabric and elastic belts and suspenders to spec in Dhaka, for trousers, uniforms and children’s wear. Because we weave the webbing and the elastic ourselves, the belt and the tape inside it come from the same floor.

What a belt and suspender manufacturer needs before sampling

A belt is an assembly rather than a single material, so the hardware matters as much as the webbing. These six points let us quote and build a first sample.

WIDTH AND LENGTH

Finished width in millimetres and the length range by garment size, including how much adjustment each size needs.

WEBBING TYPE

Rigid woven webbing or elastic. Elastic suits children’s wear and uniforms where fit has to give; rigid suits a structured trouser belt.

HARDWARE

Buckle, slider, clip or hook type, with finish and colour. Send a sample of the hardware if you already use a specific part.

ADJUSTMENT

How the wearer adjusts it — slider, punched holes, or a fixed length per size.

COLOURWAY

Pantone TCX reference or physical swatch for the webbing, plus the hardware finish it has to sit against.

END USE AND MARKET

The garment, the age group, and the destination market. Children’s wear in particular carries safety requirements that change the design.

Made to spec, from webbing we weave ourselves

Belts and suspenders are quoted against your drawing rather than held to a standing capacity, because width, length and hardware change the build each time. What does not change is the starting material: the elastic and woven tape inside a belt are the same constructions we run for waistbands — knit at 50,000 yards a day, woven at 20,000, jacquard at 25,000 — so a branded jacquard belt is a variation on something already in production rather than a new process.

Everything ships from our own floor in Uttarkhan, Uttara — an 18,000 sq ft factory running 24 hours shift-wise with 30 office staff and 135 production workers, in operation since 2014. Hardware is sourced to your specification and assembled here, so the belt arrives complete rather than as components for your line to finish.

Every lot is checked in our in-house lab against three ISO methods before dispatch — pH (ISO 3071), colour fastness to rubbing (ISO 105 X12) and colour fastness to water (ISO 105 E01). Timing does not change with order size: a physical sample 4 working days from a confirmed spec, and bulk 10 days after you approve that sample. There is no fixed MOQ published.
