What a transparent sticker manufacturer needs to know
Clear stock behaves differently from white, both in how the ink reads and in how the sticker is expected to come off. These six points cover the decisions that matter.
SURFACE APPLIED TO
Poly bag, card, glass or the garment packaging, and whether that surface is glossy or textured. Adhesive is selected from this.
PERMANENT OR PEELABLE
Whether the sticker is a permanent seal or has to be removed cleanly by the shopper. This is the single most consequential choice on a clear label.
ARTWORK AND WHITE INK
Vector artwork, and whether you need a white underprint. Without it, light colours vanish against a dark or patterned surface.
SIZE AND SHAPE
Finished dimensions in millimetres, plus a die line for anything that is not a circle or rectangle.
SUPPLY FORMAT
Rolls for machine application or sheets for hand application, and the core size if rolls.
QUANTITY AND MARKET
Order quantity and destination market, which sets the documentation shipped with the goods.
The two things that go wrong with clear labels
The first is white ink. Artwork that looks correct on a screen — where the background is white by default — disappears once it is printed on clear film and applied over a dark garment or a printed bag. If any part of the design is light, it needs a white underprint, and that has to be decided before plates rather than after the first sample looks wrong.
The second is adhesive choice. A permanent adhesive on a poly bag that a shopper is meant to open cleanly tears the bag; a peelable adhesive on a seal that must not be tampered with defeats the point. Tell us what the sticker is for and we will match the adhesive to it. Everything ships from our own floor in Uttarkhan, Uttara — an 18,000 sq ft factory running 24 hours shift-wise with 30 office staff and 135 production workers.
Timing does not change with order size: a physical sample 4 working days from a confirmed spec, and bulk 10 days after you approve that sample. There is no fixed MOQ published — we quote against your actual spec and quantity. We have exported to more than ten European markets since 2014.
