Trims Bangladesh is a button-hole elastic manufacturer producing pre-punched adjustable elastic to your spec in Dhaka. The row of holes lets a button take the waist in or let it out after the garment is sold, which is why it is specified almost entirely for infant and children’s wear.

Button-hole elastic is made to spec rather than held against a standing capacity, so the hole geometry has to be agreed before sampling starts. These six points are enough for a quote.
WIDTH
Finished tape width in millimetres.
HOLE PITCH
Spacing between hole centres, and whether the first hole has to land a fixed distance from the cut end.
HOLE SIZE
Hole length and width, matched to the diameter of the button the garment will use.
ELONGATION
Stretch and recovery targets. Adjustable waistbands are usually specified softer than fixed ones.
COLOURWAY
Pantone TCX reference or a physical swatch; white is the standard running colour.
QUANTITY AND MARKET
Order quantity and destination, which sets the compliance documentation shipped with it.
Made to spec rather than to a standing size
Unlike our jacquard, woven and knit elastics, which run at 25,000, 20,000 and 50,000 yards a day against standing specifications, button-hole elastic is quoted and made against your drawing each time. We do not publish a daily capacity for it, because hole pitch and tape width change the run — a number quoted against somebody else’s spec would tell you nothing useful about yours.
The application is narrow and well understood: garments that have to adjust after they are sold. Infant and children’s waistbands are the bulk of it, where a button and a row of holes let a single garment fit across a growth range instead of a single size. Everything ships from our own floor in Uttarkhan, Uttara — an 18,000 sq ft factory running 24 hours shift-wise with 30 office staff and 135 production workers.
Every lot is checked in our in-house lab against three ISO methods before dispatch — pH (ISO 3071), colour fastness to rubbing (ISO 105 X12) and colour fastness to water (ISO 105 E01). Button-hole elastic falls within our STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certificate 2022OK1327, issued by AITEX under Product Class I — the strictest class, the one written for baby articles — valid to 31 May 2027. Coverage is limited to the certified materials and colourways, so send your spec and we will confirm it against your exact construction. Timing does not change with order size: a physical sample 4 working days from a confirmed spec, and bulk 10 days after you approve that sample.
