What a woven badge manufacturer needs before sampling
A badge is a visible, external mark, so both the weave and the way it attaches have to be settled before the first sample. These six points are enough for a quote.
ARTWORK
Vector logo with fonts outlined. Badges are usually woven at higher density than labels, so more detail survives — but very fine lines still need checking against the loom.
FINISHED SIZE AND SHAPE
Dimensions in millimetres, and a die line for shaped badges rather than plain rectangles or circles.
EDGE FINISH
Merrowed border, laser-cut edge or heat-cut. This is the detail that most changes whether a badge reads as premium or as a cheap patch.
ATTACHMENT
Sew-on, iron-on backing, or hook-and-loop. Tell us the garment and whether the badge has to be removable.
COLOURWAYS
Pantone TCX references or a physical swatch. Each colour is a separately dyed yarn, so colour count affects set-up and price.

Woven, not printed — and why outerwear insists on it
A woven badge is built from dyed yarn, which gives it a raised, textured surface and a depth of colour that a flat print cannot reproduce. On outerwear and denim that difference is the entire point: the badge is exposed to abrasion, weather and years of wear, and a surface print would show its age long before the garment did.
We weave badges on the same site as our woven labels and jacquard elastic, which means a brand mark can be carried consistently across a neck label, a waistband and an external badge without three suppliers interpreting the same logo three ways. Everything ships from our own floor in Uttarkhan, Uttara — an 18,000 sq ft factory running 24 hours shift-wise with 30 office staff and 135 production workers.
Every lot is checked in our in-house lab against three ISO methods before dispatch — pH (ISO 3071), colour fastness to rubbing (ISO 105 X12) and colour fastness to water (ISO 105 E01). Timing does not change with order size: a physical sample 4 working days from a confirmed spec, and bulk 10 days after you approve that sample. There is no fixed MOQ published — we quote against your spec and quantity.
