What a care label manufacturer needs from your compliance team
A care label is the one trim on the garment with a legal dimension, and the required content changes by destination market. We work from what your compliance team specifies rather than assuming a standard.
DESTINATION MARKETS
Every country the garment ships to. This decides required languages, fibre naming conventions and which symbol set applies.
FIBRE COMPOSITION
The exact percentages as they must be declared, and the order they appear in.
CARE SYMBOLS
The symbol set your buyer requires and the wash, bleach, dry, iron and professional-care instructions to sit under it.
CONSTRUCTION
Printed or woven. Printed suits dense multi-language content; woven is chosen where the label must stay legible over a long garment life.
SIZE AND FOLD
Finished dimensions and fold type. Multi-language content usually needs a folded or multi-panel format.
QUANTITY AND SIZE BREAK
Order quantity and the split by garment size, since size is normally printed on the same label.
The label most likely to hold up a shipment
Care labels cause a disproportionate share of trim problems, and almost never because of print quality. They go wrong because a market was added late and the language set no longer matches, or because a fibre percentage changed at the fabric stage and the label was never reissued. Both are avoidable with a final artwork approval that happens after the fabric is locked, not before.
We produce care labels both printed and woven, so a change of construction mid-range does not mean requalifying a supplier. Everything ships from our own floor in Uttarkhan, Uttara — an 18,000 sq ft factory running 24 hours shift-wise with 30 office staff and 135 production workers. We have exported to more than ten European markets since 2014, so multi-language European label sets are routine work here.
Every lot is checked in our in-house lab against three ISO methods before dispatch — pH (ISO 3071), colour fastness to rubbing (ISO 105 X12) and colour fastness to water (ISO 105 E01). Timing does not change with order size: a physical sample 4 working days from a confirmed spec, and bulk 10 days after you approve that sample. There is no fixed MOQ — we quote against your actual spec and quantity.
